Get yourself prepared! Preplanning is the key to any weight management programme. Therefore be prepared to put some structure in place for the week’s ahead. If you’re time poor, try to loosely put together a shopping list. Think about the types of food you would like to include in the week ahead. Ask yourself “what can I get to go with my vegetables” rather than focusing on meat or poultry etc.. we tend to build the contents of our dinner …plate around the protein part, but turn this around and focus on vegetables. And of course, when you food shop, only put items from your list into the trolley. Don’t be tempted by “special 3 for 2 offers” or to go off track on what’s on your list. If you don’t have “treats” in the house, it’ll be much easier to resist, not to mention it’ll be far cheaper
